Zespół Śpiewaków Miasta Katowice „Camerata Silesia” zaprasza na wyjątkowy letni koncert „Wakacje Welcome To…”, który odbędzie się 2 lipca 2026 roku o godz. 18:00 w Willi Goldsteinów w Katowicach.
Podczas koncertu usłyszymy najpiękniejsze utwory polskiej muzyki rozrywkowej w wyjątkowych aranżacjach chóralnych. W programie znajdą się między innymi przeboje Zbigniewa Wodeckiego oraz zespołu Skaldowie, które od lat cieszą się niesłabnącą popularnością i przywołują wakacyjne wspomnienia.

Zbigniew Preisner will perform in Bielsko-Biała at the concert ‘My life. Preisner’s music’, which marks the finale of the international Preisner Scoring Competition for young composers. The gala at the Hala Widowiskowa pod Dębowcem will be one of the city’s most significant cultural events of the year.
During the evening, the winner of the competition will be announced and the audience will hear the winning composition. Preisner will then conduct the orchestra, presenting his most famous film scores, including those from “The Double Life of Veronique”, “The Decalogue” and the “Three Colours” trilogy.

Słychać w niej doskonałe opanowanie zasad renesansowej polifonii, a także fascynację nowszym stylem koncertującym. W muzycznym opracowaniu Completorium, czyli modlitwy wieczornej, szczególnie zwracają uwagę kontrasty barwowe, fakturalne i dynamiczne. Gorczycki eksponuje głosy solowe, łącząc je ze sobą niemal we wszystkich możliwych konfiguracjach. Program koncertu wzbogacą motety, w których nieco wyraźniejsze są wpływy stile antico, czyli renesansowej polifonii. Jednak również i tu Gorczycki stosuje kunsztowne środki retoryczne w stylu największych arcydzieł włoskiego baroku. Muzyka Gorczyckiego od dawna zajmuje istotne miejsce w repertuarze Cameraty Silesii. Choć niektórzy mogą kojarzyć katowicki zespół śpiewaków z muzyką najnowszą i projektami specjalnymi, to należy przypomnieć, że właśnie muzyka dawna stanowi muzyczne korzenie zespołu. A skoro mowa o korzeniach, warto również wspomnieć śląskie pochodzenia Gorczyckiego, który przyszedł na świat w Rozbarku, dziś dzielnicy Bytomia położonej zaledwie kilkanaście kilometrów od NOSPR.

The next time you visit Kraków’s historic sites, we encourage you to look for a medium-sized, richly decorated bronze-marble plaque in Wawel Cathedral. It bears the following Latin inscription: “In memory of the most venerable priest Grzegorz Gorczycki, (...) bandmaster, known to all as the Jewel of the Priesthood.” It was with the cathedral on Wawel Hill that the most famous composer of the Polish Baroque was associated for more than half his life. He served there as a bandmaster, but also cared for prisoners held in the towers of the royal castle.
The music he composed was essentially exclusively religious and tailored to liturgical needs. It reveals a masterful command of the principles of Renaissance polyphony, as well as a fascination with the newer concertante style. In his musical setting of the Compline, or evening prayer, the contrasts in timbre, texture, and dynamics are particularly striking. Gorczycki highlights the solo voices, combining them in nearly every possible configuration. The concert program will be enriched by motets in which the influences of the stile antico, or Renaissance polyphony, are somewhat more pronounced. Yet even here, Gorczycki employs artful rhetorical devices in the style of the greatest masterpieces of the Italian Baroque. Gorczycki’s music has long held a significant place in Camerata Silesia’s repertoire. While some may associate the Katowice-based vocal ensemble with contemporary music and special projects, it is worth noting that early music is the ensemble’s musical roots. And speaking of roots, it is also worth mentioning Gorczycki’s Silesian origins; he was born in Rozbark, now a district of Bytom located just a dozen or so kilometers from the NOSPR.
