Camerata Silesia with FIVE nominations for the Fryderyk Awards!

What news ‼️❤️

Yesterday we received information about the first nominations of the Fryderyk Award in the classical music category, and among the nominees were our albums - with as many as FIVE nominations! ✨

The nominated albums are:
✅ Witold Szalonek: Songs about Silesia - in the Choral Music Album of the Year category and in the Most Outstanding Recording of Polish Music category.
PIEŚNI O ŚLĄSKU is a collection of vocal compositions by the Silesian master, perfectly highlighting the breadth of his horizons. He was a visionary, an innovative artist, but he did not shy away from inspiration from local folklore or sacred music, and he wrote works that were captivating in their simplicity and extremely complex.

✅ Dzioucha Tęskni do syneczka - Songs of Silesian Uprisings - in the Classics-Crossover Album of the Year category.
An album that attracted attention due to its unique fusion of choral music with elements of contemporary and folk music. Captured songs by Silesian insurgents who fought to annex the lands of Upper Silesia to Poland in 1919-1921, and two, new original compositions by Sabina Meck, which deal with themes of longing. The performance, combined with artists such as Franciszek Raczkowski, Patryk Petersson, Patryk Zakrzewski and Michal Golawski, is a true feast for music lovers. The album pays tribute to the heroes of the Silesian Uprisings, combining tradition with modernity.
